My Approach
Collaborative. Compassionate. Creative.
As a lifelong student of art, education & psychology, I know how kids learn. And I understand that traditional teaching approaches don’t suit all students. That’s why I use art therapy to empower children—including those who are neurodiverse or struggling with their mental health—to process their feelings in creative ways. I help young people uncover their inner artist and use a variety of mediums—from paint to play—to learn new skills and overcome their challenges.
My Background
Training and Experience
I’ve always been fascinated by the way young minds grow and change. That passion has guided my career for more than 20 years. It motivated me to complete degrees in psychology, education, counselling—and now to pursue a degree in art therapy. It also shaped my work as a therapist in schools and community mental health settings for many years.
That varied experience taught me how education and mental health are intertwined. In my day-to-day psychotherapy practice, I try to share that insight with clients, drawing on my background to help young people appreciate their unique brains—and to tap into strengths they may not know they have.
