Relearn. Restore.

Reconnect

Dr. Sharon To, PhD

Clinical Psychologist

My Approach

Child-centred. Parent-friendly.

Parenting is intense, beautiful and often messy—especially when you’re raising a child with big feelings, a strong spirit or a neurodevelopmental difference. I believe caregivers do the best they can with the tools they have, and that growth is always possible with the right support.

That's why I put parenting—or “re-parenting”—at the heart of what I do. Using an approach grounded in evidence, I'll work collaboratively with you to heal old wounds, meet unmet needs, strengthen boundaries and learn healthier ways of coping—for you, the caregiver, as well your child.

My Background

Training and Experience

I’m a Psychologist with a PhD in child development, which means I’m specially trained in the science of children's minds—how they grow, learn and relate to the world around them. I’ve worked in children’s hospitals, community mental health settings and private practice, helping families through a host of emotional and behavioural challenges, including autism spectrum difference and selective mutism.

On my own journey, I've learned—and unlearned—how to parent. That experience has shaped how I show up for families: with openness, empathy and deep respect for the small, everyday moments that build resilience. I’m privileged to walk with families as they forge a new path forward, one step at a time.
