My Approach

Real. Creative. Empowering

We all have the ability to overcome challenges. But sometimes we need guidance to uncover those inner resources and put them to use.

That's why I take a strengths-based approach in my work with kids and teens. In session, we focus on what they already do well and tap into their best qualities to help them navigate their challenges, develop resilience and build confidence.

When talk therapy isn’t enough by itself, I integrate more creative strategies. When it seems like a fit, I help clients connect and express their feelings through singing, songwriting, playing instruments and moving their bodies (no musical experience is required)!

My Background

Training and Experience

I’ve always been drawn to the power of music to connect, transform and uplift. I completed a Master’s degree in Music Therapy to learn how to use my passion to help people grow and heal.

In my journey as a qualifying psychotherapist, I've added a variety of therapeutic tools to my kit. Working in hospitals and hospices, I incorporated CBT and DBT with creative interventions to support people through some of the toughest moments of their lives. In my work with neurodiverse kiddos and youth with disabilities, I found that integrating music with psychotherapy was a powerful way to build confidence, learn coping skills, enhance focus—and have fun doing it.

Now, in private practice, I draw daily on those tools to celebrate kids and teens who march to the beat of their own drum, and to help families overcome discord to find their harmony.
